Tamilnadu Villages- 2nd Part [India]

These are the roads from Ponneri (from Elagiri Hill) to Tirupattur [Picture]

---where you turn left for Jalagamparai Falls -- [Do NOT waste TIME... Dirty little place-- the fall is like a garbage dump with clothes, plastic all thrown around - and no water at all] -- Vishamangalam - Chengam - Tiruvannamalai - Gingee [from Gingee you can travel to Chennai]. All roads are motorable and GOOD as shown below!

Innocence personified

Beautiful Village Belle curious to know what I was doing--[I was waiting for her to turn her face to me so that I can shoot and Voila she did!!]

Panoramic scenery

Village & people

Near Jalagamparai there is a Murugan Temple and there is a mobile shop, I thought, would be a good subject for a photo.

I also saw a fantastic Sunflower field [ostensibly for sunflower oil]. Huge flowers.

Tiruvannamalai has a big temple [I did not go inside] The white Structure is the tower of one gate of the boundary walls enclosing the temple.
The slideshow of Tamilnadu Villages was posted in an earlier blog, but I am adding to it as and when I get more and so here is the link again

  2. Nice pictures of the kids. They look really happy and enjoying their childhood (not as European children...).

Love the sunflowers! and the lady in the "mobile shop" is also great :D Nice colours!

  3. They are poor kids - which means kids in the villages and yet happy... that is magic. But heyy do not say that! I bet kids are happy everywhere in the World ehh?
