Varanasi or Benares is not called the Holy city without reason. Many think it is only a Hindu City when history says otherwise. It is here that Sarnath where Lord Buddha delivered his first teachings. You can also get more details of Sarnath here.
By the way this is the orginal buggy of Maharaja of Benares, now with Taj Benares Hotel.
And here are today's "buggies" on the roads of Varanasi or Benares.
The Photos of Sarnath are in the slide show. But you need to have latest browser, java and something else (I am not sure what yet) to be able to see the slide show properly. Normally I suggest everybody should have Java Run Time environment, Macromedia, Shockwave, quicktime etc and one of this should take care (I say this because I have and am able to see the slide show)

Sorry I may not be following your format, but I needed your help and sending this.
I was doing Google search for English newspapers distributed in and around Sarnath when I hit your site. Incidentally I learned a lot about Sarnath.
Also my heart goes to you for the loss of your father. I feel your beautiful eulogy has been received by the soul of your father as a blessing to the departure to the next life, if you believe the reincarnation. Thanks for sharing your feeling with us.
The reason I was doing the search was that we in Okinawa, Japan, had received the sapling officially from the Mach Bodhi Society of India in July, 2003.
Contrary to the wishes of those involved, India and Japan, the presence of such an important tree is not known to the people of Japan, not to mention people of surrounding countries in the far-east Asia.
As part of those efforts, I have been trying to get articles of newspapers supposedly having announced the presentation ceremony at the Mach Bodhi temple in Sarnath.
Hence, I am requesting for your help finding me possibly URLs to such newspapers.
If you can find it, please help.

What do you want exactly want? If you want some detail pertaining to something that happened in 2003 and i have to seach online then there is not difference between me doing it or you doing it!!
If you want to know something specific which the officials at Sarnath can tell us if we ask them then tell me I will send someone to ask them...
