Digital not film... only professionals may be still using film cameras.. those that belong to the "film is better" school... otherwise people like us use digital only nowadays... what is it there?

Hmmm I think english problem... haha.

Film is where there is Film... how do I explain this??

Digital is where there is a processor and no films...

What do YOU mean by FILM?

hmm. as I thought... this is the problem with countries that have their own strong languages and were never rules by the British.. we Indians have been ruled so we know the English completely..!! haha!!.. like servants are suppsed to do I guess.. hmm..

Of course a word has different meanings..and I can see why the confusion. here I have posted not just still photographs but also video.

The other problem is Wikipedia.. do not forget that Wikipedia is not by experts but by people like us..but again I checked these pages since I know you must have checked too.. and find ok.. they are not wrong either.. Film is sometimes used loosely to denote movie.. or cinema.. but....

Here I am saying I have two types of posts one is Still Photographs.. there is NO film in there is there? When it is totally digitial? There is NO FILM to develop like older days!1

And the video I shot also DOES NOT HAVE ANY FILM.. does it? When I said it has a Cassette where it is recorded DIGITALLY.. When I differentiat between FILM and Digitial.. you should realise that I am talking of the Technology and not the result.. yes the result of my video shooting is a movie and so it is a FILM in your word.. [loosely used again.. even though it is also included as a Dictionary meaning in Dictionaries- but you must realise that Dictionaries sometimes also adapt words used by lot of people to accept a word which has is well used by a majority.. and here since on DAY-1 of movie making Films were used.. Films have come to be known as Movies also... today this has no meaning. and this word is not used unless by really hard cored cinema makers I suppose.. )

It is more common to use the word FILM to depict photos or movies which have been SHOT ON FILM.. i.e. the plastic material which needs to be developed!!

Quoting from your favourite Wikipedia:-

Photographic film is a sheet of plastic (polyester, nitrocellulose or cellulose acetate) coated with an emulsion containing light-sensitive silver halide salts (bonded by gelatin) with variable crystal sizes that determine the sensitivity, contrast and resolution of the film. When the emulsion is sufficiently exposed to light (or other forms of electromagnetic radiation such as X-rays), it forms a latent (invisible) image. Chemical processes can then be applied to the film to create a visible image, in a process called film developing.
