Indian Sarees, Handlooms, Kancheepuram

India is a place of Textiles. In ancient times we had muslin. Forget the History. I am not here to bore anyone with history. Why should I when there are so many sites. blogs etc to tell you about them. I am just putting up some pictures.

Here is a typical saree showroom at Kancheepuram, Chennai, Tamilnadu, India. It shows you how silk sarees are made in their machines, the silk Cocoons, and how they are sold in complete comfort with the salesperson's glib talking!! LOL!!
