New Delhi through a Window

Have you ever wondered looking out from the window over a city if the city has a mind of its own?

Have you ever felt watching those numerous roof tops that each house will have a story to tell of its own?

Have you ever wondered watching the winding lanes and by-lanes which see the footfalls of thousands every day, what they see and experience every day about mankind and its behaviour?

Each city has its own heartbeat, its own life. Everytime I have gone to Mumbai and looked out from my hotel window in the silence of the night, I have felt that I am looking at a Bombay (Mumbai) which the daytime Mumbai did not know about- A Mumbai in the night which is completely different from the daytime Mumbai we are habituated to see.

Well... these are a couple of my photos of Delhi in the day time from a window. So long Govt has not allowed New DEelhi to grow vertically and so you can see the distance. But soon this may change due to lack of space if the Builders' lobby has its way.

Red Fort, New Delhi, India

Red Fort, New Delhi, India. Just a few photos. It is a very famous place so lots of photos will be available on the web, I guess.

Plus if I tell you everything here what will be the fun of actually coming here and seeing it for real?

There are a few which have been taken at the beginning of the light and sound show and one during-so please pardon my camera shake in one/two.

Indian Govt Splurging Away Tax PAYERS' MONEY

India begs for money at outside forums. We are Developing they say. We have so many poor people. people below pverty levels.. and so they charge us taxes. Not that the Govt of India has ever been able to tax the rich and the business class... Only a small percentage of people who should pay tax pay tax. I forget the figures.. BUT THEN WHAT DO WE HAVE? We have people in GOVT, Bureaucrats, Politicians, Officials who splurge Tax payers' Money on themselves. When cars come at different prices, from Rs 3 lacs t0 4 lacs (1 lac= 1,00,000) for small size cars and 5 lacs to 7 lacs for mid size to big cars.. and from 8 lacs to 12 lacs to luxury cars and then costlier cars in the super luxure segment and SUVs and all. Why should Govt people drive cars like FORD ENDEAVOUR? One that is an SUV and costs around 17 lacs?? Where is our money going? Taxpayer's Money!!! Look at this PICTURE carrying a family of somebody from UP Govt (name plate is UP number.. says in HINDI "BHARAT SARKAR" Indian Govt). There was a red beacon light on the top.. I could not get it.. but pictures talk clearer.. and here is for the world to see how Poor Indian Govt people are living it up!!

Shanti Path, Chanyakyapuri, New Delhi

"Shanti" means Peace in Hindi. "Path" means Road or Path in Hindi again.
This road is lined on both sides by Embassies in India, New Delhi

Police Memorial, New Delhi, India

Soon to be a Memory itself!!! Nobody Beats Delhi Govt to first allow strictures to come up then waking up and demolishing them!! We mostly saw demolitions of unauthorised houses and shops by the corporation of Delhi but this itself is a Structure built by a section of the Govt-- THE POLICE DEPTT. and now someone has said it spoils the look of the city.. so ? So we are experts at keeping busy doing something then undoing them!!! LOL !!!
